This listing is for a handmade journal sewn in the coptic style with green waxed linen thread, which is durable and strong. The pages are my high quality handmade paper, which is made in house in Columbus, Ohio from recycled materials. The coptic binding of this journal allows the book to lay completely flat when open, creating its own flat surface for use away from a desk.

The cover was made by collaging handmade recycled paper onto archival book board.

White Dragon Paper makes the paper sewn into each handmade book. I start with raw materials such as used copy paper and cardboard boxes collected from friends, family, and local businesses. I process that fiber, form each sheet of new paper, then create the book covers and sew the handmade paper pages to create a unique, completely handmade work of art that can be written on, drawn in, and works well with glue and collage work.

Paper acidity:
The white, white thread, and off white floral papers are made from 100% office, notebook, and printer papers. These varieties test as acid free when using a Lineco pH Testing pen.

The brown, brown floral, and 1/8 brown 7/8 white varieties are recycled from cardboard, chipboard, and brown papers, and are not acid free
