This listing is for a handmade journal sewn in the coptic style with waxed linen thread, which is durable and strong. The pages are my high quality handmade paper, which is made in house in Columbus, Ohio from recycled materials. The coptic binding of this journal allows the book to lay completely flat when open, creating its own flat surface for use away from a desk.

The cover is made from a set of matched bamboo flooring samples.

All of the pages and end pages are my own handmade recycled paper. I carefully select the papers I intend to recycle to make my handmade paper, as some materials commonly recycled to make homemade paper have themselves been recycled so many times that they have essentially no fiber content and are overloaded with inks and dyes. The materials I use are selected to create a versatile paper that is soft to the touch, easily worked with, and eco friendly. Each sheet of paper used in these pages is inspected individually at several stages to insure there are no holes, weak spots, wrinkles, or other flaws.
